General Rules
Teams supply all baseballs.
*Coin toss will determine home team in pool play.  In the event teams are seeded, the highest seed will be home team. International tie breaker will be used for all pool play games
, if time is available.  In the event a game ends in a tie it will count as a ½ win ½ losses.   If a winner must be determined the California tie breaker will be used.

*Home team will keep the official score book. Home scorekeeper needs to note game start time with umpires. Game Cards will be completed by the umpires. Coaches are responsible for signing the game cards. If game cards are not signed within 30 minutes after game is completed the score will stand as the official score. Coaches are responsible for checking the score on the score card to insure accuracy. A signature indicates an agreement that the score written is correct and will stand.

*NO infield will be allowed before games.

*Offensive changes and Pitching changes need to be  reported to the opponent's scorekeeper.

*Teams may bat 9, 10, or Roster.

*A designated hitter is allowed for any player when not roster batting.

*Starter re-entry is allowed. The only exception is when a player is replaced by the starter who the designated hitter is batting for; then the replaced player may not re-enter the game. Free substitution if roster batting.

Courtesy runner may be used for the pitcher and catcher at any time. It is Mandatory for the catcher with 2 outs. Last  out should be used if no legal substitutions are available. In the event a team is roster batting, the courtesy runner is the last out.  The same courtesy runner may not run for the pitcher and catcher in the same inning.  Violation of this rule will constitute the runner being call out.  However, it must be reported before the next recorded out.

*Starting pitchers may re-enter as a pitcher one time provided they have not been removed from the field.

*There are no protests. Disputes are settled on the field. Head coach must call timeout and discuss dispute with umpires and site director. Time will be stopped when the head coach call for the site director.

*High school slide rule is in effect.

*Batter must keep one foot in the box, when getting a sign from the coach.

*Each team must have a minimum of 8 players to start a game. The ninth spot in the batting order will be an automatic out. The ninth player may be added at anytime when he/she arrives. If a team is using an EH, or roster batting and goes down to less than original starting line up, that spot becomes an out.

*All non- adults must wear double ear flap helmets while in play.

*Any player guilty of malicious contact will be out and ejected from that game and may serve a 1 game suspension.
Any coach ejected from a game is suspended for the next game.

*Profanity will not be tolerated by players, coaches, or spectators and may cause immediate suspension. Coaches are responsible for controlling players and spectators actions during tournaments. Spectators showing unsportsmanlike conduct will be asked to leave and threaten the play of their team. Violent behavior will not be tolerated! Any verbal or physical threat or action will be immediately turned over to the local police department for action. Anyone participating in this type of behavior, especially to umpires or tournament personnel will be banned from ALL future events.

*Teams must have players in uniforms that are similar in color with permanent numbers on the back.

*Gate fee will be charged at most locations. Gate fees are set by the location. Some charge an individual fee at the gate at their discretion. Other locations charge a flat team fee. This will be noted in the details. Gate fee refunds are up to the location taking the gate but are usually nonrefundable.
